Most of the cotton produced in Pakistan is harvested in the state of Punjab with smaller production in neighboring states like Sindh where I reside. The Indus river still wholly sustains the fabric industry of the region as it has done for the past 7000 years. Still grown on small pieces of family land, still handpicked, still reliant on rainfall and the vast river system that supports it, not much has changed in the harvest to this day.

This 100% cotton fabric comes from the city of Multan from a small producer who is more well known for their cotton-silk blends. It’s yarns dyed in a primary and a secondary color work together to shade the cloth lighter or darker. The Oakmoss uses a brown primary yarn with a beige/light yellow yarn to give off a more earthy green shade indoors. The amber uses a black yarn to darken the copper brown.
