Knots
Story & Technique

Some strands are long, some short, some straight and some are not.
Knots builds up on the craftsmanship of previous work
… and the asymmetry

Done completely by guiding uncut fabric with hands, each strand is unique.
The Fabric is worked on the wrong side while the embroidery comes together on the right side. The threads are then brought together on the wrong side (or the inside of the shirt) and triple knotted. In addition to this, a short stitch length ensures that the threads don’t come undone.
Some strands are long, some short, some straight and some are not.
The asymmetry is at the core of design principles.
Like always, it is most evident to the more keener of eyes.
